Joseph Bass is a masterful eco designer and landscaper who is dedicated to all aspects of his projects. He worked hard (and smart) to transform our suburban yard into a homestead, and we couldn't be more grateful for his knowledge and expertise in edible and sustainable landscape. I would recommend his services to anyone who wants to make the most of their property. Thanks Joe!

I’ve always dreamed of having an organic sustainable garden. Ideally Eco is making my dreams come true. They know soil, what attracts birds, what repels pests, fragrant ground covers, complimentary plant combinations and sun patterns. They are even going to build me a custom hen house that fits perfectly in my urban homestead!
Joseph Bass is a true visionary and I am thrilled with his work! He is a treasure and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Joe came out to our 28+ acre property and helped us site and plan our (soon to be) orchard, what was invasive and we could clear out, and also informed us that we have a prime location for growing mushrooms! Finding out the potential of our property was much higher than anyone thought and feeling so thankful to have Joe come out and continue to help us grow.
Joseph has done an incredible job. He helped me clean and fix all my raised beds, remove Creeping Charlie and plant grass in a woodland area that needed help and hasnt had grass in over 5 years. He is also maintaining my garden space. I trust his expertise and would recommend him to anyone that not only is looking to enhance their garden space, but also in restoration of previous landscape mistakes.
Joseph is highly knowledgable and an incredible teacher, giving me confidence to continue creating a beautiful landscape.
Like best: Joe Bass is a creative, innovative landscaper and he took what we thought was a hopeless mess and created the beautiful bird sanctuary we'd always dreamed of. We can't begin to recommend him highly enough and look forward to future work with him. Thanks, Joe, for your incredible work and eco friendly mindset.
When I first set out to do landscaping at my new property, I had only a vague idea of what I wanted. I am an experienced gardener but from another area of the country, and I have never started from basically nothing, just lots of lawn and a few plants.
I wanted to concentrate on making my landscaping more friendly to pollinators, easier to take care of, and to have raised beds for vegetables and space for my dogs to run.
All I needed was one consult with Joe Bass of IdeallyEco Sustainable Landscapes to know they were the right team to work with. I never regretted my decision. Joe not only prepared designs and revised them as we spoke, he took my needs and budget into account. He worked with me to figure out what was important to me and was never pushy about selling me on work I didn't need. It was all about what I wanted and needed, even if he was making suggestions.
He communicated with me every step of the way, before and during the job. I always knew what to expect. And he always took the time to answer my questions and educate me when I wanted to learn about plants, permaculture, or just anything related to the environment. He is so well educated and informed about anything related to landscaping, permaculture, and even the engineering of irrigation.
His entire team is hardworking and respectful and leaves the job better than promised. I had many surprises. They used big equipment to take up a large portion of my lawn to replace it with pollinator friendly clovers and wildflowers. They fixed irrigation issues which weren't even listed in the initial job. They built a parking pad. And gave me an area of raised vegetable beds. And one day I found them running a long hose from the house to the vegetable garden and taking the time to bury it where they could. This was also above and beyond. We had talked about how great it would be but I didn't think we could get it done. Joe and his team managed to get it done, to my great surprise.
I cannot recommend IdeallyEco Sustainable Landscapes more highly. They are hardworking, responsible, and they take those extra steps that most just don't bother with these days.

In a matter of weeks, our Mars-like property went from an acre of freshly scraped red dirt to being covered in green grass and plants, thanks to Joe's expertise!
